Ride Snowboard Current

Details - Ride Snowboard Current - navy blue, multicolor

• The Current is Blake Paul’s pro model. Built in close collaboration with Blake, it’s a true all-mountain machine. Ride built over 40 prototypes and tested over 15 different camber profiles until Blake perfected what is now the all-new Current. The camber profile features RIDE’s new Multi-Cam shape, combining maneuverability, ease of use, pop, and stability in a single board. However, RIDE didn’t stop at the camber profile—the board’s core was fully engineered to support it. Thanks to moderate torsional flex between the feet, the Current is easy to control while still providing stability. The nose and tail are stiffer to match the camber sections, so you won’t tip over on the nose in powder, nor will the tail slip out from under youduring a landing. The sidecut is a radial cut set back on the board, so the center of the sidecut aligns with the board’s set-back. Slimewalle sidewalls and RIDE’s linear carbon fibers round out the Current’s construction, making it an all-mountain board that’s stable on hard snow, floats in powder, and helps you stay upright when conditions try to tip you over.
• Profile: Directional Multi Camber —the directional profile features rocker between the bindings and classic camber under the bindings—this combination makes the board responsive while allowing for smooth turns and ensuring a great off-piste ride
• Core: Performance™ Light — a blend of Aspen and Paulownia wood, lightweight and durable
• Slimewalls®—for many seasons now, RIDE has been using polyurethane to construct the sidewalls of its snowboards. Slimewalls® is RIDE’s exclusive patent—just like in skateboard or inline skate wheels, polyurethane provides excellent vibration damping while offering great force transmission and energy transfer. Instead of hard, non-cushioning ABS, we get a material that absorbs vibrations caused by the interaction of the wooden core and steel edges with the snow, while maintaining 100% control of the board. An additional advantage of Slimewalls® is that the polyurethane walls are virtually indestructible and do not delaminate
• Carbon Array 5™ Laminates—a technology that radially distributes carbon strands, instantly transferring pressure from the bindings to the board’s edge—allows you to maintain full control regardless of stance width or pressure angle. This power distribution technology provides total control over the board in any position
• Impact Plates Laminates – reinforcements under the bindings, protection against cracks
• Hybrid Glass—a combination of triple-braided fibers on the top with double-braided fibers on the bottom— this combination provides balanced elasticity, efficient energy transfer, and stiffness
• Fusion 4000™ Base—a high-speed sintered base that is more durable, stiffer, and faster than a pressed base
