• Instant connection. Instant response. The all-new Union Astra Step On bindings combine the proven comfort of Step On® technology with Union’s renowned all-mountain performance. Equipped with the Step On® Instant Connection™, these bindings ensure lightning-fast entry and exit without sacrificing responsiveness, precision, or power. Designed for snowboarders who demand speed, performance, and top-tier performance from the first run to the last. Union Binding Company is the only licensed partner that develops and manufactures its own products featuring the Step On® Instant Connection™ system.
• The Step On® Instant Connection™ system is the only automatic binding system that meets Union’s standards for performance, durability, comfort, and functionality. Simply slide your heel into the binding to snap the heel clip into place, then press down with your toes until you hear a click. When you’re ready to release your boot, pull the lever on the heel of the binding and twist your foot. It’s that simple.
• FLEX: 6/10 — a versatile flex that offers a good balance between responsiveness, control, and riding comfort. Ideal for all-mountain riding.
• BASE: S1 Step On® W Duraflex ST — a women’s baseplate designed for precise energy transfer and durability. It combines Union’s proven construction with the convenience and speed of the Step On® Instant Connection™ system.
• CUSHIONING: Hi-Flex HP EVA – a flexible EVA layer that provides additional vibration damping and cushioning between the rider and the board. It helps increase riding comfort and reduces fatigue during a full day on the slopes.
• FOOTBED: Non-Stick HP EVA – high-quality, waterproof, closed-cell EVA foam. Its non-stick surface reduces the buildup of snow and ice on the bindings and makes it easier to fit the boot.
• HIGHBACK: S1 Step On® W Duraflex ST – a women’s highback that provides the right balance between support, responsiveness, and comfort. The adjustable Forward Lean allows you to tailor the binding’s performance to your individual preferences and riding style.
• FLAD: Integrated 2-stage
• HEELCUP: 3D extruded aluminum – a sturdy and durable construction designed for optimal heel hold and minimal resistance.
• SCREWS: Grade 8.8 steel – durable components ensuring reliability and structural longevity.
