• Product Features
• Flex: 6–9
• Thanks to the stiff flex of these boots, you can ride at full speed. The performance of these boots is consistent with the previous model: the Ion Step On®.
• Burton BOA® lacing system The Triple Dial PerformFit™ Wrap offers a new level of control over fit and comfort. The system allows for independent micro-adjustment of the fit and comfort of the forefoot and ankle tension, as well as the tension of the outer part of the upper, using the BOA® dial. The inner ankle area, combined with the forefoot, provides unmatched support for the foot and heel. The latest BOA H5 dials allow for micro-adjustments without having to loosen the entire boot.
• The Step On® system creates a clean, simple connection between the boot and the binding, allowing for quick entry and ensuring excellent responsiveness during intense riding.
• The asymmetrically shaped thermoplastic liner conforms to the foot and calf. The quick-drying liner wicks away sweat, while EVA cushioning absorbs shocks.
• The high-performance Vibram® EcoStep Plus rubber outsole, made with 50% recycled rubber, provides traction on any terrain and durability while reducing weight.
• Technical Specifications
• Triple BOA® Wrap Lacing System - BOA® PerformFit™ Wrap with a triple dial provides micro-adjustment and a zoned, precise fit that locks in the heel, ensuring excellent power transfer, stability, and control. The BOA® system is designed to deliver performance in the most demanding conditions.
• The Asym Life Liner features lightweight, thermoformable foam for maximum durability and comfort. It features an asymmetrical cuff that complements our triple-dial BOA Wrap system, ensuring a secure fit and unmatched control. The DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ lining wicks away sweat and reflects body heat inward, providing a high level of moisture and thermal management.
• Inner cuff—the Focus cuff improves heel hold by applying pressure at the ideal point around the ankle; it is positioned slightly higher on the ankle, providing better responsiveness
• The Ankle Hammock features an inner cuff that keeps the heel secured in the boot’s heel pocket, as well as an external BOA® dial for adjusting fit and tension. This has resulted in a unique system that allows for easy and quick adjustment of the inner cuff while hiking.
• The X Pro Flex Vibram® Step On® outsole—made from Vibram® EcoStep+, containing 50% recycled materials, the outsole offers excellent traction and durability typical of Vibram® outsoles.
