• The Gnu Upgrade is an advanced resort freestyle board designed by Jeff “Hendo” Henderson—a 30-year-old craftsman at Mervin Mfg. It is the result of five years of prototyping, combining precisely tuned geometry with C2X technology to create an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) board for intermediate and advanced riders.
• The C2X Directional profile features a short rocker between the feet, camber under the rear foot, and extended camber toward the nose, delivering the precision of camber with added float and energy in turns. The triple-asymmetric Magne-Traction® edge focuses control on the toes and between the feet, leaving the nose and tail clean and safe. A complex sidecut with a progressive radius ensures a smooth turn entry, stability in the middle, and an aggressive tail for turn exit.
• The directionally profiled core has been stiffened in the nose area for better float and stability in soft snow, while the tail is softer, facilitating carving and control. A ¾-inch setback stance provides balance on hard pack and buoyancy in powder. The micro-rounded nose eliminates snagging during freestyle maneuvers. The package is rounded out by a carbon fiber insert that adds pop and responsiveness.
