Details - Burton Talent Scout Snowboard Wmn - white

  • PROFILE: Camber—the advantages of this board profile include, among others, impressive dynamics, efficient energy transfer—that is, a powerful pop-up, precise board handling, and shock absorption, ensuring full edge control from nose to tail in all conditions
  • SHAPE: Twin—the board’s perfectly symmetrical shape (identical nose and tail in shape, length, and flex) allows for a centered stance, equally effective both forward and switch. Jibbing, spins, landings, and buttering on the slope—during all these tricks, you’re guaranteed better balance, freestyle mobility, and “cat-like” stability, no matter which way you’re riding
  • FLEX: Twin – the flex of a twin-tip board is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail, allowing for a centered riding position that’s equally effective riding forward or switch
  • CORE: FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™ and Off-Axis Squeezebox —stronger and lighter wood, used in specific areas of the core, provides a more powerful pop, increased durability, and reduced board weight
  • LAMINATE / GLASS FIBER: Women’s Specific Triax™—this type of fiber weave provides a versatile flex and responsiveness suitable for most applications—from casual fun to more serious riding. Fibers arranged at a 45° angle are ideal for an aggressive riding style.
  • BASEBORD: Sintered—a durable base with a highly porous structure. Thanks to its increased durability and excellent wax absorption, it provides superb glide in all conditions
  • Squeezebox—enhances pop and board performance by strategically combining thicker, stiffer sections of the board’s core with thinner, more flexible ones. The snowboarder’s energy is channeled under their feet and transferred outward toward the nose and tail, making the board more dynamic, stable, and easier to maneuver
  • The Channel™—stronger, faster, easier, and more customizable—these are the advantages of The Channel system, which provides full control over your stance on the board and is compatible with all major mounting systems used in bindings (not just Burton’s)
  • Off-Axis Frostbite Edges—the Off-Axis design improves key elements of the board’s construction to align with the binding angles preferred by the typical snowpark rider. These anatomically optimized changes result in better edge grip on both the front and rear edges, a more natural flex around the bindings, balanced feel, and “coordination” of the board during takeoffs and landings. Frostbite edges are a solution introduced by Burton long before the emergence of overhyped “serrated edge” patents. The Frostbite design extends slightly beyond the area under the bindings, providing exceptionally strong edge grip, especially on hard, icy surfaces. Solid grip when you need it, and the freedom to have fun when you feel like it. Frostbite edges are ready to bite into a hard snow crust like a lion into an antelope’s thigh, but they also forgive mistakes and allow for smooth, fluid board control
  • Infinite Ride™—this exclusive Burton technology maximizes energy and responsiveness by “building up” the board and preparing it in a special machine that, by strongly bending the deck, adjusts its parameters to your expectations. Whether you choose a rocker or camber profile, Infinite Ride™ technology ensures that your board will retain its flex, pop, and feel from day one, season after season
  • Super Sap® Epoxy—a resin containing over 30% naturally derived ingredients. Produced using green, renewable techniques that reduce the carbon footprint by over 50%
  • Pro-Tip™ – the board’s tapered thickness at the nose and tail helps reduce “rotating mass,” or weight in areas critical for easy maneuverability
  • This dynamic board is a real tough guy with a sharp tongue—it’ll make you fall in love with the camber profile all over again. The Burton Talent Scout’s mission is to ensure the fastest possible progress. It goes a step further than other twin-tip boards thanks to its camber profile, which delivers the dynamism, control, and precision needed to tackle any terrain. The combination of Off-Axis construction with a contoured Squeezebox core, wavy Frostbite Edges, and a classic freestyle binding placement unleashes the board’s natural flex and gives you full edge control

Mounting

  • The Channel

The Burton Channel is a mounting system that contains two channels in the board (one for each foot) that run parallel to the edges. The Channel allows nearly infinite and customizable stand-width and angle adjustments. Snowboards with The Channel system are compatible with Burton EST bindings and other brands bindings with specially adapted disk.

Shape

  • twin tip

Snowboards are shaped one of two ways: directional or twin. Twin snowboards are symmetrical, so the nose and tail are the same length. This shape is usually used in freestyle and jib snowboards.

Snowboard profile

  • camber

Camber is a very popular, traditional snowboard construction. These boards have more flex for carving and bend allowing more of the effective edge to touch the snow. The extra springy resistance of the concave profile gives it that extra pop.

flex

  • medium

Snowboard flex describes how flexible a snowboard is. Medium boards provide good stability at high speeds and allow for great comfort of moves on the slope.

Base

  • Sintered

Sintered base - regulary waxed, sintered bases are much faster than extruded bases. Sintered bases can also be harder to repair than extruded bases.
