• The Frontier is a directional freeride board designed as the perfect everyday ride for the fun all-mountain enthusiast.
• Featuring a floaty freeride nose coupled with a freestyle tip, the Frontier is perfect for powder days, park days and every day in between. The Frontier's directional shape, Directional Rocker profile and Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide sure-footed stability in technical terrain or rough snow, while the contoured 3D Contour Base 1.0 nose and tail edges reduce edge catch and make it easier to turn in tight terrain. The Frontier offers high performance without skimping on materials, as it's built with a Sintered 8000 base, an eco-plastic top layer, and a Classic Core that's specially contoured between the feet to add pop.
• Hybrid rocker/camber flex defined by more rocker on the nose than on the tail and camber between the bindings. Rocker on the nose lifts the board and improves maneuverability, while camber underfoot provides edge hold and responsiveness. The lightweight rocker on the tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board, but helps keep the tail free of clipping when initiating turns and landing.
• Classic Core - an all-wood premium poplar core that provides nice pop, even flex and solid durability.
• Sintered 8000 sintered glide - A new super-strong material made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. Causes the board to be incredibly fast.
• 3D Contour Base 1.0 - Subtle and even lift of 2mm on the nose and 2mm on the tail of the board's edge, helps with turning and deeper snow.
• Natural Wax Wend -The Jones boards are ready to ride straight out of the package. They are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
• Biax Fiberglass - A two-way, two-ply, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and fast ride.
• Bio Resin is a bio-based epoxy resin made from 27% plant-based carbon instead of petroleum-based carbon. The organic raw materials used in the production of bio-resin are by-products or wastes of plant-based industrial processes. Production of bio-resin requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy resin.
• Oversized recycled edges - all Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges, which increases durability and improves sustainability.
• ABS plastic is one of the indispensable elements of snowboard manufacturing. We improve the sustainability of our snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
• Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps maintain a board's flex and rocker throughout its lifetime.
