ASICSTiger

Asics was established in 1949 in Japan and at first it was known as Onitsuka Co.Ltd. Since the beginning, its mission was to produce and sell sports footwear, and the company gained popularity thanks to its Mexico 66 shoe which was the first model to incorporate crossing side stripes. In 1977, Onitsuka Tiger joined Gto and Jelenk, resulting in creation of Asics Corporation. The name Asics is an acronym of a Latin sentence “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano”, which can be freely translated as “A sound mind in a sound body”. The slogan reflects the philosophy which, since the beginning, has been close to Kihachiro Onitsuka’s (the company founder) heart. The main concept of this philosophy is achieving and maintaining a balance between the athlete’s body and the mind – regardless of his/her skills in a given sport. Only a healthy body can become the cradle of a healthy soul. Today, Asics is mostly known for its cutting-edge technology running shoes but in its offer you will also find recreational running shoes (LifeStyle collection) with innovative design and the highest precision of manufacturing.
