HISTORY OF THE CONVERSE BRAND
Over a hundred years ago, in 1908, in the town of Malden, Massachusetts, Marquis Mills Converse founded a company that initially made… work boots. Nobody knew back then that just a few years later a model would be created that would forever change the world of sneakers.
In 1917, the Converse All Star appeared – simple, comfortable sneakers designed for basketball players. Shortly after, through a collaboration with player Chuck Taylor, the shoes gained the famous signature on the ankle and legendary status.
